We’re back with another fact sheet, this time for action movie auteur Jesse V. Johnson. Before he started working as a director, he had (and still has) an accomplished career as a stunt performer and coordinator in Hollywood.
Since the 1990s, he has also been making movies, often both as a writer and director. His trademarks are excellently choreographed hand-to-hand combat scenes and intense shootouts that are embedded in stories that care for its characters.
We put together some categories that we think apply to many of his movies. Hopefully this helps to provide a rough overview of Jesse’s style in making movies. Also it was a fun thing to do.
Below you can find our sheet for Jesse V. Johnson, the previous one we made for Isaac Florentine can be found here. We did not include his first movie The Honorable (aka The Doorman), as we couldn’t get a hold of it yet. We’ll update the sheet once we get it.
